Collection for the Holy Land 2020
The normal community celebration of Holy Week this year is being affected by preventive measures taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Christian communities in the Holy Land are also exposed to the risk of the contagion amidst many sufferings. Therefore the Congregation for the Oriental Churches has communicated Pope Francis’ approval to move the annual Good Friday collection for the Holy Land to 13th September 2020 (Sunday before the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross) to support the evangelical work, especially service to the weak and the poor, in the Holy Land.
