Chancery Notice
ALL SOULS DAY
(2nd November 2021, Tuesday)
A plenary indulgence, applicable only to the souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful who fulfill the conditions (either on the same day that the indulgenced work is performed, or within about 20 days before or after the indulgenced work) of confession, Holy Communion and prayer for the Holy Father’s intentions (such prayer may be fulfilled by reciting one Our Father and one Hail Mary), and who –
1. devoutly visit a Catholic cemetery and pray, even if only mentally, for the departed on any and each day from 1st to 8th November, OR
2. devoutly visit a church or oratory on November 2 and recite one Our Father and the Creed during the visit.
