The 60th World Day of Prayer for Vocations 2023

&

Inauguration of the Diocesan Year of Vocations



1.     On 30th April (4th Sunday of Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday), the Church celebrates the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.

On the same day, Bishop Stephen LEE will offer the Holy Mass at 3:00 p.m. at Sé Catedral with the special intention for vocations in the universal Church and in the Diocese of Macau.

2.     After the Mass, a ceremony will take place for the priests and religious who celebrate their Silver, Golden or Diamond Jubilee of ordination or entrance into religious life in gratitude for their ministry and service.

3.    It is also announced that from 30th April 2023 to 8th December 2024 will be marked as The Diocesan Year of Vocations to encourage young people to generously respond to God’s calling.

4.     The collections from the parish Masses of that Sunday are to be delivered to the Bishop’s Office which will forward them to Rome to support the Pope in his various apostolates (“Peter’s Pence”).
