The 58th World Day of Prayer for Vocations 2021


1.     On 25th April (4th Sunday of Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday), the Church celebrates the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. The Holy Father’s message for this day, under the theme “St. Joseph: The Dream of Vocation”, can be found on the Holy See’s website:

On the same day, the Most Rev. Bishop Stephen LEE will offer the Holy Mass at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of St. Joseph’s Seminary with the special intention for vocations in the universal Church and in the Diocese of Macau.

2.     After the Mass, the Diocesan Vocations Commission and Serra Club will organise a ceremony for the priests and religious who celebrate their Silver, Golden or Diamond Jubilee of ordination or entrance into religious life in gratitude for their ministry and service.

3.     The faithful can watch this Mass live via the website of the Diocesan Social Communications Centre: www.catholic.org.mo or www.peacemacau.org.

4.     The collections from the parish Masses of that Sunday are to be delivered to the Bishop’s Office which will present them to Rome to support the Pope in his various apostolates (“Peter’s Pence”).
