Macau, June 27, 2025 – In celebration of the boundless love of Christ revealed in the Feast of His Most Sacred Heart, the community gathered for the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. Felipe Bacalso and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Jaroslaw Marek Duraj, both Jesuit priests of the Society of Jesus.
Faithful devotees, led by the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (PWPN)—popularly known in the Philippines as the Apostleship of Prayer—were present, all clad in maroon, symbolizing the burning love of Jesus' heart for humanity.
In his homily, Fr. Felipe reminded the congregation that the Good Shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one lost sheep out of love—a love testified by the Sacred Heart of Jesus. As Christ has loved us, we are called to share that same love with others. This message was beautifully echoed in the symbolic gesture at the end of the Mass: candles were distributed to the faithful, representing the light and love of Christ, which we are called to pass on in our daily lives.
As a touching reflection of God’s enduring love, the community also witnessed the renewal of wedding vows by two devoted members, Bro. Leo and Sis. Leslie Carable, in celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary.
The celebration continued with a simple agape meal, where members of the community shared laughter and fellowship. By the end of the day, each participant carried home not just smiles, but a renewed commitment to live out the love of the Sacred Heart in word and deed.
