The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick
This Sacrament is for the sick, the elderly and those in danger of death. It gives to the person who receives it the grace and strength for interior peace, may not lose patience and hope and always trust in God’s mercy. Therefore, the family has the responsibility of informing the priests of their Parish so that the sick person or the elderly may receive this Sacrament as soon as possible.
- PASTORAL CARE IN HOSPITALS
In order to spiritually assist the patients in the hospital and support their families, and facilitate the contact with a priest, here are some guidelines:
1. Kiang Wu Hospital – The first contact should be done to the parish to which the patient belongs. If not possible, then contact St. António Parish.
2. Conde São Januário General Hospital – The responsible is Fr. Edgar Pasaporte. If not available, then contact the patient’s own parish, and if needed the Parish of the Cathedral or Fr. José Fu Chun.
3. University Hospital – (Macau University of Science and Technology Hospital) Taipa –Contact one’s own parish and if not possible, then contact Our Lady of Carmo Parish in Taipa.
